Unpack it.
Start the flashing tool.
Click on "Scatter-loading" to load the MT6577_Android_scatter_emmc.txtfile, the flashing tool should looks exactly like this:
Click on "Download", you'll get a warning message:

Continue anyway.
Your phone is OFF.
Remove the battery.
Insert the battery.
Connect the phone via USB-datacable to your pc.
It SHOULD trigger the flashing process. If this is the first time you are doing it, you should be asked to install a driver. The missing driver is located in the
SP_Flash_Tool_v3.1222.00 / new usb driver folder. After the driver is installed, you may have to start the flashing process again.

Edit: For Windows 7 users:

Start c/windows/system32/hddwiz.exe (as admin)

Click next

Manually select hardware

List all devices

Select the driver (for example usb2ser_Win764.inf)

from the List select "MediaTek Preloader USB VCOM Port"

(I don't have Win 7 running, so I can't verify this)
Flashing the bootimage should only take a few of seconds, on success the flash tool looks like this:

Your phone should now be rooted, if you find a "Superuser" App on your phone, everything went well.
Good luck and remember,
And PLEASE don't try this with ANY other phone or model, this will ONLY work with the phone I have linked above!

Credit for rooting the bootimage goes to:
