Just as we were starting to get used to Android 4.0.1, Google has released a new version of its mobile operating system. Google released the Android 4.0.3 platform and software developer kit tools today.
The update comes just a day after the first Android 4.0 device went on sale in the US. Google will roll out an Android 4.0.3 software updated for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus phone soon and other phones and tablets should get the software soon as well.
This is a minor update, but it does provide a few new features for developers, including:
  • Developers can now write apps that can add color to calendar events.
  • Apps that use the camera can check and manage video stabilization.
  • Social apps that use check-ins, satus updates and similar tools can sync data with individual contacts to create social streams.
Android 4.0.3 also includes improved graphics, spell-checking, Bluetooth, and other features.
