Still remember the Windows 8-powered iMac knockoff? It is now officially launched. The main specs remain the same: a 21.5-inch 1920×1080 display, 4GB RAM and Windows 7/8. But with the processor, you may to choose go with a 3.3GHz Intel i3 dual-core CPU or a 2.9GHz Intel i5 quad-core CPU. With the internal memory, a 500GB hard drive (5400 rpm) or a 128GB SSD. More info after the break.
The model name for this iMac knockoff is LAVI S21i. It has an aluminum enclosure. At its very thinnest point (the edge), it is just 0.9 cm thin. Comparing with Apple’s New iMac (0.5 cm thin), it’s only 0.4 cm thicker. Other than that, it has a built-in HD camera, WiFi connectivity, four USB 2.0 ports, a VGA port and a LAN port.
The vendor is offering this iMac-like AIO desktop PC at 3,350 yuan (US$540) or 3,850 yuan (US$621), where the 21-inch Apple’s new iMac will be released in December at $1,299. Of course, Apple’s new iMac is reasonable for being more expensive than this machine, such as USB 3.0 ports, Thunderbolts, Nvidia GeForce graphics processor, slimmer body.
