The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE in South Korea is getting updated to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and the update brings along a number of goodies. Up until now, the Super AMOLED-packing tablet was running Android 3.2.
The update brings the usual round of performance improvements, better multitasking and face unlock. Also, the native data tracker feature are a welcome update to keep track of that LTE data usage.
Samsung warns that you’ll need at least 60MB free on your device and that there might be some data loss. So, to update the Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE, grab the latest version of KIES, do a backup and then you can start the update.
After the update, there will be some changes to you apps – some will be removed, others will be renamed and some might have compatibility issues. If an app is having problems, you should try updating it with an ICS-compatible version.
By the way, the international version of the Tab 7.7 started getting the ICS update in early July.
