The last of the three handsets announced by Sony Mobile at IFA 2012 was the Sony Xperia J (ST26i/ST26a). It’s a pretty handset carrying the same arc design seen in the other handsets announced today. The Sony Xperia J sits between the low to mid-end of the smartphone spectrum and features smart illuminations. It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon A1 MSM7227A chipset with 1GHz single-core processor and Adreno 200 (enhanced) GPU.
It will have a 4-inch gorilla glass display with FWVGA resolution (480 x 854) and support 2-finger multi-touch. It will come with 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage (650 MB of firmware (using 1.3 GB physical memory to secure against memory errors), 766 MB of phone memory and 2 GB for media) and microSD memory card support.
Camera duties will be taken care of a 5MP sensor with VGA video recording and will also come with a VGA front-facing camera. It will also come with a removable 1750Mah battery capable of 5 hours and 36 minutes of GSM talk time. The Sony Xperia J will have slim dimensions of 124.3 x 61.2 x 9.2 mm and will weigh 124 grams. The handset will launch in four colours (black, gold, pink and white) during Q4 2012.
