New JB ROM for Samsung Galaxy Note leaks, supports Multi-View

Monday, 5 November 2012

A couple of weeks ago we saw the first Android 4.1 Jelly Bean ROM for the Samsung Galaxy Note leak, version N7000XXLS2, but now SamMobile claim that they have the real deal straight from Samsung's servers and that the previos ROM was a system dump.

The update brings the original Galaxy Note to Android 4.1.1 and gives it the latest TouchWiz with all the bells and whistles. The ROM also has basic support for Air View (detecting the S Pen from a distance and triggering previews), but that isn't ready just yet.
Before you flash N7000XXLS2 on your Note, have a look at this video N7000XXLS7, which some lucky guy in France who got the update early. It updates the phablet to Android 4.1.2 and enables Multi-View just like on the new Note II.
The video is quite long (and in French), but here are the juicy bits - flashing the ROM at 4:00, you can see the Jelly Bean version at 7:30 and 16:50, Multi-View is shown off at 9:00 and texting works too (13:00), suggesting it's a fully featured ROM.
You can't flash this ROM has yet as it still hasn’t made its way to XDA. On the upside, LS2 is from October 9 (nearly a month ago), so Samsung should be testing a newer version internally (possibly the LS7) and the update should be nearly ready (the Galaxy S II update should arrive at the same time too).

[News]Seem to be #Samsung Galaxy #Note_II screen glass leak too?

Wednesday, 15 August 2012

Today seems to be a day for display glass leaks. This one is allegedly of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note II, which will be announced on August 29.
The screen size is 5.5", which is in line with the rumored specs, but is quite angular - it looks nothing like the Galaxy S III front, which some sources say will be the basis for the Note 2 design.

Yesterday, a tipster sent us a press image of an S III-based Note II but that and today's leak seem nothing alike. Nowhereelse.com, who received the supposed Galaxy Note II display glass photo, noted that the sensors on the original Note and on the S III are on the right, next to the camera. It's the same configuration in today's leak, but a different one in yesterday's.

Of course, it would make more sense for the Note II to share a design with the Galaxy S III (like the original shared with the S II), so both rumors lose some credibility points.

EXCLUSIVE: Galaxy Note 2 5.5" screen, narrower body confirmed

Thursday, 28 June 2012

We already knew that a successor to the wildly successful Galaxy Note is already in the works and that it might feature a 5.5" AMOLED. Now, an insider source, who we have good reasons to trust has send us a tip, saying the screen size is now confirmed.
The Galaxy Note 2 will indeed sport a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED and a design inspired by the Galaxy S III flagship smartphone. Interestingly, even though the screen size is larger than the original Note, the width of the Note 2 is actually reduced compared to its predecessor.
Here's a quick mock-up we made of how the Note 2 might look judging from this new information.
Even more interestingly, the release date of the Note 2 has been moved forward to September, rather than the previously rumored October. The reason for the switch is Samsung's desire to bring the Note 2 to the market before Apple releases the iPhone 5 in October, thus stealing some users from the Cupertino-based company.
The rumors of an 8MP camera with improved sensor, as well as 1.5 GB of RAM, along with a new Exynos 5250 chipset, featuring a dual-core ARM-15 processor remain unconfirmed at this point

News : Did Samsung just confirmed the Galaxy Note 2 ?????

Saturday, 23 June 2012

Oooppsss did Samsung just leaked that the Galaxy Note 2 is coming?
SamsungMobileArabia just tweeted the following:

Unfortunately, Samsung Mobile Arabia isn’t the official twitter channel from Samsung.
However, Samsung’s headquarters is keeping their lips sealed!
Earlier this month a korean Newspaper allready had some information about the Note 2.
So maybe this is net to the Galaxy S III the most anticipated phone from Samsung till date.
Some specifications the korean newspaper said the Note 2 would have were:
It will sport  a 12 megapixel camera and quad-core processor a new type 5.3 inch screen which will be revolutionary and it will run on JellyBean.
It is expected that Samsung will show the Note 2 at IFA in Berlin, like they showed the first Note last year on IFA.
What do you think did they just confirmed the Note 2 or are they just creating a buzzzz?

Samsung Galaxy Note ICS update pushed back to Q2

Thursday, 15 March 2012

We are afraid we have some bad news for the Galaxy Note users out there. The Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for the phoneblet has been pushed back from its initially announced Q1 launch to Q2.

It's only been confirmed by Samsung Norway through its Facebook account, so it's not certain if the delay will be a global thing, but that seems likely. The global rollout of the Ice Cream Sandwich update only took a few days, so we assume the Galaxy Note units, which are much fewer in number will be updated in a very short interval.
The reason for the delay is unknown just yet and so is the exact launch date. With Q2 starting in a couple of weeks and ending in June the delay might be a pretty minor thing or it could mean another three months without the latest and greatest from the Google OS for the Note users. Here's hoping it will be a case of the former rather than the latter!
