NEWS : Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 already rooted

Thursday, 9 August 2012

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 just launched this week, and it’s listed as out of stock at most US retailers. But one of the first folks to get his hands on the new 10 inch tablet has already figured out how to gain root access to the tablet.
This lets you run apps that require root permissions, such as Titanium Backup. It’s also the first step toward replacing the default operating system with custom ROMs.

You can find step-by-step instructions for rooting the tablet atrootgalaxynote.com. The process takes abotu 20 minutes, plus however long it takes to download the ODIN file and stock ROM.
Right now the instructions will help you root a Galaxy Note 10.1 GT-N800 with the European or Saudi Arabian firmware. Support for other versions is on the way.
The Galaxy Note 10.1 features a 10.1 inch, 1280 x 800 pixel display, a Samsung Exynos quad-core processor, and an active digitizer and digital pen, which lets you write or draw on the tablet or control it with a stylus rather than your fingers (you can also use your fingers, though).
